Octal Steel participated in NOG Energy Week 2026, held in Abuja, Nigeria, from July 5 to 9, 2026. At the international exhibition, our team connected with oil and gas professionals, project contractors and equipment buyers to discuss OCTG products, sucker rods, line pipes and other steel materials required for oilfield development and energy infrastructure projects.
The exhibition brought together companies from across the energy sector, creating opportunities to exchange information on ongoing projects, technical requirements and procurement challenges. For Octal Steel, the visit was particularly valuable for understanding the equipment and material needs of customers operating in Nigeria and the wider West African oil and gas market.

Supporting Oilfield Projects with OCTG and Steel Products
At NOG Energy Week 2026, Octal Steel introduced its product range for drilling, well completion, artificial lift and pipeline applications. Our OCTG product range includes casing, tubing and drill pipe, along with couplings, pup joints and related connection accessories. We also supply API 11B sucker rods, sucker rod couplings, line pipes, steel fittings and flanges for different oilfield and pipeline requirements.
Each product group serves a particular stage of oil and gas operations. Casing and tubing support well construction and production, while drill pipes form part of the drilling string. Sucker rods transmit reciprocating loads from surface pumping equipment to downhole rod pumps in artificial lift systems. Line pipes, fittings and flanges support hydrocarbon transportation and associated pipeline facilities.
By covering these related product categories, Octal Steel can work with buyers who need to coordinate multiple material specifications and delivery schedules within the same project.

Technical Discussions and Procurement Requirements
One of the main purposes of attending NOG Energy Week was to understand how customers evaluate steel products before placing orders. Beyond price and availability, procurement decisions often depend on applicable standards, material grades, connection compatibility, inspection scope and the documentation required for project acceptance.
For API 5CT casing and tubing, important considerations include steel grade, outside diameter, wall thickness, connection type and length range. For API 11B sucker rods, material properties, rod dimensions, heat treatment and threaded connection integrity require particular attention because of the repeated loading experienced during pumping operations.
Our discussions also addressed the importance of material traceability, dimensional inspection, non-destructive testing and manufacturing documentation. Octal Steel supports project-specific requirements through technical specification review and the coordination of applicable inspection records and material certificates.
These exchanges helped our team better understand the purchasing priorities of oilfield operators, equipment distributors and project contractors, particularly where multiple product categories must meet different technical and delivery requirements.
Strengthening Connections in West Africa
Nigeria remains an important market for oil and gas exploration, production and associated infrastructure. For international suppliers, direct communication with local industry participants provides a clearer understanding of how projects are planned, how materials are sourced and what buyers expect from their supply partners.
NOG Energy Week offered Octal Steel an opportunity to hear these requirements firsthand. Discussions with visitors covered product availability, technical specifications, quality documentation and coordination between manufacturing and project delivery.

Beyond immediate procurement needs, the exhibition also provided a chance to establish closer working relationships with regional customers and explore opportunities for future cooperation.
For Octal Steel, participating in NOG Energy Week 2026 was an opportunity to listen to customers, exchange technical knowledge and introduce our capabilities across oilfield tubular products and related steel materials. We appreciate the conversations with industry professionals in Abuja and look forward to continuing these discussions as new projects and sourcing requirements develop.
